上海燎原双语学校于2018年9月推出了学院制，给予学生充分的话语权并激发学生的能动性。学校有4个学院，分别以红、黄、蓝、绿四色为代表。

Shanghai Liaoyuan Bilingual School is very proud to have launched the house system in the school in September 2018 to support student voice and agency. We currently have 4 houses within the school representing different colors.

学院队长是学生，由学校其他学生提名。学院队长由我们经验丰富的协调员和校长直接指导。这些学生是学校社区的重要成员，代表了IB学生所应具有的各项品质，也体现了我们学校的双语特色。

The house captains are students and are appointed by their fellow peers. The house captains are nominated by the other students within the school and are mentored by one of our experienced coordinators and the Principals directly. These individuals are key members of the school community and represent all the best qualities of an IB student and shows the bilingual nature of our school.

学院队长会带领自己的队员们参加不同的活动，*括运动会、才艺表演、拼字比赛等各项多元化的活动。

The house captains represent their houses on behalf of the school at different events including sports day, talent shows, spelling bees and many different activities.
