上海燎原双语学校在严格遵循上海市中小学课程计划的同时，根据学校的育人目标和学生的兴趣爱好，积极开展特色课程建设，开设非常学院(AMAZING HOUSE)。非常学院是上海市燎原双语学校精心打造的拓展型、探究型特色课程，是燎原课程体系的重要组成部分。学校在强调扎实学生基础知识和能力的同时，重视培养学生的创新精神和实践能力，拓展学生的全球视野，为学生真正成为具备跨界背景的精英人才奠定基础。

Strictly abiding by the Shanghai Middle and Primary School Curriculum Plan, and according to the school’s education goals and students’ interests, Liaoyuan Bilingual School engages in the development of distinctive courses, and has established the Amazing House. Carefully designed by Shanghai Liaoyuan Bilingual School, Amazing House is an expanding-type, inquiry-based distinctive course and an important part of Liaoyuan curriculum system. It focuses on enhancing students’ basic knowledge and abilities, values the cultivation of students’ innovative spirit and practical ability and expands their global vision to support them in truly becoming talents with an interdisciplinary background.

学院采用「快乐活动日」的形式，在每周一至周四下午3：30-5：00开设课程，学生可根据各自的兴趣爱好免费选修。非常学院设置相应的拓展型、探究型课程，涵盖综合类拓展型六大类课程板块：全球视野、国学传承、人文素养、科学探究、生命健康、人际关系共187门校本特色课程。在师资配置上，除了选聘校内优秀教师外，还特聘校外**专家任教，旨在为学生提供具有创新性和多样性的高品质兴趣自选课程。

The Amazing House opens courses at 3:30-5:00 pm every Monday to Thursday afternoon called 「Happy Learning Day」 when students can take elective courses according to their interests. It has established corresponding expanding-type and inquiry-based courses, covering six comprehensive expanding-type course sections: Global Perspectives, Chinese Wisdom, Scientific Spirit, Humanistic Literacy, Life Health, and Interpersonal Relationship offering 187 school-based distinctive courses in total. In terms of teacher resource, apart from prominent teachers of our own school, we have also invited excellent teachers from other schools to give lessons in our school, aiming to provide high-quality optional courses that are innovative and colorful for students based on their own interests.
