文学创意写作比赛在国际课程班是传统学术活动。在过去的2019-2020学年，上海燎原双语学校国际课程班又一次举行了文学创意写作比赛，同学们展现了自己原创的小说、诗歌和散文。接下来就一起了解下燎原的创意写作比赛，并附获奖同学名单。

今年国际课程班仍然如期举行了创意写作比赛，今年对师生们来说组织比赛的确不易。创意写作比赛给了孩子们一个机会来展现他们的写作能力。希望孩子们在写作中富有创意并自由表达，同时也“炫”一下自己的英语能力，分享他们在这一年的收获。

This year saw the students in LYBS take part in our Creative Writing Competition. It has been a difficult year for students and teachers, and we ran this competition during our second semester to give students a chance to showcase their writing abilities. We wanted students to be creative and free in their writing, to show off their English skills, and share what they learned this academic year.

文学创意写作册

此次写作比赛向所有年级的同学们征稿，*括IEP、9年级、10年级和11年级。同学们按照三个类别选择自己喜欢的内容展开创作：短篇小说、诗歌或散文。同学们提交的稿件由文学组老师们根据作品的原创度和内容来评选。

同学们可以对任何自己喜欢的话题或者很想写的内容开展写作。一些同学擅长写小说，主题围绕爱、战争和冲突。很多同学写自己的个人经历：分享回忆、思考和感受。

The competition was open to all LYBS high school students- IEP, grades 9, 10 and 11. Students were asked to compose a piece of writing under the categories of short story, poetry or essay. The writing submissions we received were judged based on the originality of the short story or essay and the quality of the content. The subject and theme was open for all categories. Students were able to write about whatever topics they were interested in or felt strongly about. Some of the student submissions dealt with stories and themes about love, war and conflict. Many students wrote personal stories, sharing their memories, thoughts and feelings.

文学创意写作比赛收到了各年级的同学们的稿件。感谢所有参赛的同学们。创作诗歌、短篇小说或者散文并非易事，需要花费时间构思，花心思遣词造句。大家完成度很高!

We got some great submissions from students across the grades, and we would like to thank all those who participated in the competition this year. It is not easy to create a good poem, short story or essay. It requires a lot of time, dedication and work. Well done to all those students who took part and took the time to compose a piece for the competition.

LYBS would also like to acknowledge and thank the teachers who helped in improving students’ the English ability, writing skills, and for the help and encouragement they gave throughout the year and during this competition. We hope that next year we can continue with this great competition. We know that LYBS has some talented writers, and we hope to see more of their work in the future.
