2020年稍纵即逝，至此元旦来临之际，祝上海燎原双语学校的同学们、老师们、家长们及所有关心LYBS的朋友元旦快乐。同时，很高兴地和大家分享学校在近期推出的全新校园宣传片，让我们为燎原的焕新而自豪，期待2021迈向新征程。

亲爱的燎原家人和朋友们：

Dear LYBS Community. . . Friends：

2020注定是不平凡的一年，我们的情绪如坐过山车一般，充满着惊喜、气愤、甚至是悲伤，但依旧充满着希望。What a year this has been that we will never forget . . . a roller-coaster of emotions . . . surprise, anger, sadness, desperation . . . and as always hope!

疫情使我们都受到了或多或少的影响，而我们也都得到了成长，重新认识了自己、他人和这个世界。We have all been affected. We have all suffered, one way or another but still we have all learned . . . about ourselves, others, the world!

我们明白，即便在不利的环境下，我们依旧可以保持坚韧、富有创造力甚至能够在逆境中保持乐观的精神，我们继续奋斗着，*容着，并关爱着!We have learned that we can be resilient, creative, even happy under adverse circumstances . . . that we can fight, endure, care together!

我们亦成长成为更好的自己，迎接值得期待的2021和崭新的未来。We are now better equipped . . . better prepared to face the future and hopefully a great and successful 2021 and beyond!

因此，在假期来临之际，让我们“沉静淡定，好好休息，继续前进”，带着灿烂的笑容和开放的心态迎接新的一年和新的挑战。So “keep calm, have a good rest and carry on” to the next year . . . the next adventure, with a big smile and an open mind!
