专业概况

The Department of Family & Consumer Sciences at Pittsburg State University is one of two Family & Consumer Sciences programs in Kansas and is known for getting students involved in professional development opportunities that will lead to employment across the nation. Students in the Family & Consumer Sciences Education area are known for their active participation on the state level in both Kansas and Missouri. Because of the national teacher shortage, graduates can find jobs in every state.

The current demand for graduates of this program is very high. Most graduates have their choice of up to 10 jobs depending on the region where they would like to live. Students majoring in the area of FCS Education at Pittsburg State University experience a variety of hands-on learning opportunities both in the classroom and in the community. They are guided by dedicated faculty who see every student’s potential to find their own level of success. Students in this program earn a significant number of scholarships.

为来自中国的学生设计 High School Academic Records: A minimum GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in high school and have earned a high school diploma; International College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post-secondary institution (college/university); U.S. College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) if transferring from an accredited U.S. college with at least 24 credit hours (approximately one year of college work). English Language Requirements: TOEFL score of at least 520 (paper) or 190 (computer) or 68 (internet); IELTS score - Overall band of 6.0 (with a minimum score of 5.0; PTE Overall score of 47.
