Pittsburg State University's Bachelor of Science in Geography major focuses on the elements of geography that are most critical in today's society. Students in this program have the opportunity to study in the following areas: Environmental Geography, Urban Planning & Community Development, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Our geography students acquire superior skills in critical thinking and analysis, dynamic communication, computer usage, and analysis in a number of software areas. We strive to keep students on the cutting edge of technology. These technological skills, critical thinking skills, and the overall applied nature of a geography education provide students with abilities that are in demand at public and private agencies. Students also gain the expert knowledge and training they need to pursue admission to graduate programs, if that is part of their career plan.

为来自中国的学生设计 High School Academic Records: A minimum GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in high school and have earned a high school diploma; International College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post-secondary institution (college/university); U.S. College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) if transferring from an accredited U.S. college with at least 24 credit hours (approximately one year of college work). English Language Requirements: TOEFL score of at least 520 (paper) or 190 (computer) or 68 (internet); IELTS score - Overall band of 6.0 (with a minimum score of 5.0; PTE Overall score of 47.
