进入上海燎原双语学校小学IB探究课程的第三个单元,这个单元的主题是我们如何组织我们自己,中心思想是交换制对社区有益。前两周我们在课上讨论了什么是交换、交换的起源、认识了人民币、了解了“需要”和“想要”的不同,以及“商品”与“服务”的不同。本周我们主要讨论的是如何组织、管理自己的钱,所以我们决定走出校园来一次实践。
Entering Unit 3 of the inquiry cycle of this school year, our theme is “How we organize ourselves” and our central idea is “Exchange systems help our community”. We have discussed what exchange is, origins of exchange systems, Chinese currency, needs and wants, and goods and services in the past two weeks. We focused on how to organize and arrange our money this week in class. So, we decided to explore outside of school.
我们来到了社区里的麦德龙超市,每个同学都带了20元钱,在之前的课上同学们已经根据他们自己的‘需要’和‘想要’以及对商品大概价值的预测做好了购物单,所以这次前来可为是目标明确,胸有成竹。
We went to the Metro market that is located in our community. Each student brought 20 Yuan with them. Students had planned based on their needs and wants and also their estimate of the value of goods prior to the field trip. Therefore, students went with purpose and confidence.
分组进入超市后,在老师和家长志愿者的带领下,同学们根据自己的购物清单,井然有序的挑选着商品,有的同学心中默默算着每样商品的价格,生怕超出了自己的预算,有的甚至准备了草稿纸和铅笔,打起了草稿。但在结账的时候还是超过了预算,只能舍弃了自己相对不需要的东西。
Students entered Metro by small groups with their teacher leader or parent volunteer leader. They shopped around based on what they have planned before. Some of the students calculated the total priceby heart because they did not want to overspend. Some of the students even brought their own pencil and scratch paper for calculation. When it was time for checking out, some students still exceeded the budget, they had to give upon the things they didn’t need at the moment.
但不管怎样,这次活动锻炼了同学实际管理、组织钱的能力,也通过实践锻炼了同学用钱来交换商品,同时也训练了小朋友的数学运算能力,最重要的一点同学们在这次实践活动中收获了喜悦,他们通过交换得到了自己需要或者想要的东西,非常有成就感,整个二年级教师团队也为他们开心。
Nonetheless, this field trip helped students to build their capacity around management andorganizing money. Students had also experienced shopping with money. In addition, students practiced their math calculation skills in real life experience. Most importantly, students really enjoyed this field trip and had a good time.They had been part of the exchange systems and purchased things they need. They are proud of themselves, and the whole second grade teaching team is very happy for them as well.
