上海燎原双语学校在期末回顾POI。本周,所有的PYP教师聚集在一起,回顾本学期的3个单元。

We review our POI at the end of the semester. This week, all PYP teachers were gathered together to review the 3 units of this semester.

我们把老师按照年级分组。首先,老师们反思了本学期3个单元的中心思想和探究线索。中心思想和探究线索是根据实际的教学、适合学生年龄水平以及各单元之间的做出完善。需要注意的是,中心思想和探究线索应该是概念性的,而且概念要足够宽泛,引导学生去探究。然后讨论哪些教学活动是他们认为比较好的,哪些部分是需要改进的。最后,老师们根据事件和节日、季节以及每个单元如何相互支持过一遍单元的顺序。

We break staff into grade groups. Firstly, they reflect on the central idea and the lines of inquiry of the 3 units in this semester. The central idea and lines of inquiry were refined based on the actual teaching, age-appropriate levels, and how relevant and engaging the units were. Teachers also keep in mind that the central idea and lines of inquiry should be conceptual, and broad enough for students to inquire into. Then teachers discussed which teaching activities they think are the best, and which parts they need to improve on. Lastly, teachers reviewed the order of units based on the events and festivals, seasons, and how each unit could support each other.

除了POI的回顾,我们也回顾了两个核心政策,即评价政策和语言政策。教师阅读这两个政策,分组讨论,哪些部分做得好,哪些部分需要改进以及如何把政策落实到真正的教学中去。

Besides the review of the POI, we also reviewed the two corepolicies, the Assessment Policy and the Language Policy. Teachers read through the two policies, and discussed in groups, which parts we’ve done well, which parts need to be improved on, and how to bring the policies to authentic teaching and learning.

会议的最后议程是对项目标准和实施要求的反思。教师分为7组,每组负责文件中七个标准中的一个。他们逐项看标准,在小组内讨论,并将每个项目标记为“达标”或“正在进行中”。

The last agenda of the meeting is reflection on the programme standards and practices. Teachers were divided into 7 groups, with each group being responsible one of seven parts of standards in the document. They went through the standards item by item, discussed within their groups, and marked each item “In Place” or “In progress”.
