What you will study

UON’s Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics combines theoretical and scientific knowledge with practical learning to ensure you’re well-prepared for a career in nutrition and dietetics. You will:

Train in the science of human nutrition and health and gain skills to contribute to global wellbeing.

Learn critical problem-solving and communication skills to support an individual’s understanding of the relationship between food and health.

Choose to study electives that interest you, such as sports nutrition.

Develop critical research skills that will set you in good stead for life-long learning in the ever-evolving field of nutrition and dietetics.

为来自中国的学生设计 There are a number of ways to gain entry to undergraduate programs at the University of Newcastle. You may be considered for admission on the basis of: a completed NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent – irrespective of age of qualification; completed or partly completed higher education studies; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate III (AQF level 3), excluding the Bachelor of Nursing; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate II (AQF level 2) in conjunction with meeting additional performance based selection criteria for the Bachelor of Music and associated combined degrees; completion of a recognised enabling program within a 10 year period preceding admission to the University; overseas qualifications equivalent to Australian studies. English language requirement: TOEFL paper-based test score of 500; TOEFL internet based score of 60; IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0; PTE GSE score of 50; Cambridge English: Advanced score of 52.
