在这里学什么?Without math’s, interpreting the real world would not be possible. Mathematics is the language of science and underpins most technological advances that we rely on every day. Studying a Bachelor of Mathematics (Advanced) will allow you to build on your previous knowledge in logic, mathematical modelling, experimental design and data analysis.
Study the Bachelor of Mathematics (Advanced) to prepare yourself for an exciting career far beyond the norm and potentially outside the conventional roles of a mathematician. Enhancing your learning with industry experience, you’ll build professional connections which will increase your career outcomes. You can work in a wide range of fields including communications, international finance and the futures market, the mining and energy sectors, or even medical and health research.
What you will study
Mathematical research extends human capabilities by taking our innate skills and intuitions to higher levels. The study of math’s enables modern society to make decisions, to operate more efficiently, to invent new technologies and to understand and modify the world around us.
As part of the Bachelor of Mathematics (Advanced) program, you will receive close mentoring from leading academics to guide you through the advanced course materials. To prepare you for engagement with the wider scientific community, you’ll have the opportunity to attend seminars, present research and build a diverse network of professional relationships.
Current research is inventing new ways of using existing mathematics as well as creating new mathematics for the future. As part of your structured mathematics major, you will study courses in topic areas such as:

为来自中国的学生设计 There are a number of ways to gain entry to undergraduate programs at the University of Newcastle. You may be considered for admission on the basis of: a completed NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent – irrespective of age of qualification; completed or partly completed higher education studies; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate III (AQF level 3), excluding the Bachelor of Nursing; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate II (AQF level 2) in conjunction with meeting additional performance based selection criteria for the Bachelor of Music and associated combined degrees; completion of a recognised enabling program within a 10 year period preceding admission to the University; overseas qualifications equivalent to Australian studies. English language requirement: TOEFL paper-based test score of 500; TOEFL internet based score of 60; IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0; PTE GSE score of 50; Cambridge English: Advanced score of 52.课程信息
