整个11年级的同学正在为下周即将到来的文学部活动而欢欣鼓舞，因为上海燎原国际高中首届电影节开幕啦!本学期同学们在课上已经学习了经典小说《变形记》，这篇小说所反应的20世纪时代思潮运动同学们在课上已经进行了小组讨论，并且进行了短片创作和写作练习。我们认为每一部小的短片都是一件艺术作品，是用一种巧妙的方式解读文字的形式。

The Grade 11s of Liaoyuan are excited for next week’s evening Literature event: Liaoyuan’s first Film Festival! All Grade 11 students this term have been studying a classic novella called The Metamorphosis, alongside a range of short films and artistic movements in the 20th century. The students have also been working together in groups and write, develop and create short films as part of their project work for Semester 2. Each of these films is a piece of art, and also makes reference to a famous written text in a clever way.

最后的成片非常有创意，有趣又富有见地。有些提出了伦理道德问题，有些讨论了有关环境的想法，这些短片提供给我们关于友谊、忠诚的信息，同时解读了生活的荒谬。

The final films are creative, entertaining and insightful: some have presented morals and lessons, while others have discussed ideas about the environment. There are many messages about friendship, loyalty and the absurdity of life.

下周二晚上，8-10支精选的短片将在演讲厅播出，所有11年级的学生将参加。观众中，我们还邀请了我们新的IEP学生，以及感兴趣的老师共同参加。我们将安排学生作为主持人，我们希望大家享受其中。

Next week on Tuesday night, 8-10 of the best short films in the grade will be shown in the Lecture Hall, and all Grade 11 students will attend. We have also invited our new IEP students to be part of the audience, as well as any curious teachers. We will have students host the evening, and we hope all enjoy the achievements they have made together.

这次的活动旨在培养学生的创造力、解决问题的能力、时间管理能力和IT技能。学生还练习到听说读写以及团队合作。我们非常期待，请大家拭目以待。

This project has aimed to develop students’ creativity, problem solving, time management and IT skills. Students have also practised their speaking, writing and teamwork. We are really excited to be showing their films next week. J
