MYP项目是国际公认的IB的中学课程，上海燎原双语学校于2018年7月通过IB国际文凭组织的验收，正式成为一所IB世界学校。8月27日，燎原双语学校开展了MYP培训活动。

MYP training activities officially started on August 27, 2018 in Shanghai Liaoyuan Bilingual School. MYP is the Middle Years Programme of the internationally-recognised IB (International Baccalaureate).

Iain 校长和同事为初中部全体教师进行了为期3天的培训。培训通过讨论、反思和游戏等一些形式，帮助老师们更多地了解了MYP课程和理念，加深了老师们对MYP项目的理解。

The three-day training was led by school principal, Iain Riley, who has ten years MYP working experience. With discussion, reflection, reading and games, he helped the teachers to learn more about the MYP curriculum and key concepts, building and deepening their understanding of this exciting programme. The three days of training were characterised by lively discussion, active participation and the open sharing of ideas.

培训收到了很多老师的积极反馈，老师们不仅更好地理解了MYP课程，而且对MYP精神本身也有了更切身的体会。MYP项目旨在培养一批追求卓越，具有国际情怀的公民和终身学习者，这与燎原学校的办学理念相契合。

After the training, feedback from teachers was very positive. Not only were we better able to understand MYP lessons but also had a clearer feeling for the MYP spirit itself, which in turn ties in with the ethos of Liaoyuan Bilingual School: committing to the pursuit of excellence, creating a rich community of internationally- minded learners, and working not only for oneself but also providing support for the growth and development of others.

通过短暂的培训，老师们能体会到，这是在探索一条国家课程与MYP理念相融合的教学路子，也是贯彻学校办学理念的一个探索项目。为了实现这个目标，燎原的老师们会加倍努力，培养出更多具有责任意识，有探究和冒险精神的学子，为他们今后的学习和生活奠定更好的基础。

In the future, people who work in Shanghai Liaoyuan Bilingual School will continue to work hard, understand the value of early education for children's long term development, cultivate children to be responsible, lifelong learners in the challenging environment of inquiry, and thus lay a good foundation for them to adapt to society in the future!
