上海燎原双语学校英文部高中的科学展已经成为了燎原的常规活动。举办科学展的目的是，让同学们使用学到的科学方法来回答让他们感兴趣的问题。学校鼓励同学们组成小组合作开展研究，绝大多数同学都会参与到这次的科学盛会中。

The science fair has become a regular event at our school. Its purpose is for students to apply the scientific method to answer questions that interest them. A majority of the students in our school are required to participate, so they are encouraged to form small groups and then collaborate.

在选题方面，一些小组会选择做物理实验、化学实验或者生物实验;还有很多组更喜欢就心理学或社会学的话题展开调查。每个小组都需要准备图文并茂的海报通过实验室报告的方式来解释他她们的项目。

Some groups choose to perform experiments in physics, chemistry, or biology. Many groups prefer to conduct investigations on psychology or sociology. Each group is expected to prepare a colourful poster that explains their project in the manner of a laboratory report.

2019燎原双语高级中学科学展将于2019年6月6日周四下午1：00-2：00在7号楼宾馆2楼的大礼堂举行。在现场，学生们将为老师们解释他们制作的海报，同时也会互相切磋学习。学校欢迎每个人来参加科学展。老师们会为学生们打分，评出每个年级的比较不错海报，并为同学颁奖。

The science fair has been scheduled for Thursday, 6 June, and will be held in the conference room of the adjacent hotel, from 1:00 to 2:30 in the afternoon. Students will be present not only to explain their own posters but also to learn from the others. Everyone is welcome to attend this event. Prizes will be awarded later on for posters judged the best in each grade.
