在这里学什么？ This course is equally weighted towards sociology and philosophy and you will take units from both subjects throughout the course.The sociology half of the degree places particular emphasis on sociological theory and its application to real-world concerns. Sociology also provides an opportunity to develop your research skills. The philosophy element offers you a thorough understanding of philosophy including logic and critical thinking, epistemology and metaphysics and a wide range of other units including in ethics and political philosophy.The wide-ranging, flexible curriculum provides progressive intellectual challenges and consolidates your experience throughout.You will also have the opportunity to spend half a year studying abroad at a partner university. 为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
