专业概况

在这里学什么？ Our single honours Russian degree allows you to gain a high level of proficiency in the Russian language. You will study contemporary Russian culture and key periods in Russian history, from the Soviet Union to Orthodox culture, alongside texts and films that reflect each period. This course is suitable for both beginners and those who wish to build on existing experience.In your third year you will immerse yourself in a Russian-speaking environment. Students have been to many parts of Russia, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as lesser-known cities such as Tomsk in Siberia and Krasnodar in southern European Russia. There is a wonderful range of placements available, either to study Russian at a university, teach English or work, for example in a multinational company, charity or non-governmental organisation.Over the course of the degree you will perfect your Russian language skills while exploring diverse aspects of Russian literature, history and culture. Bristol's Russian department offers an enviable range of cultural options and a dynamic and supportive environment for your studies.

为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
