专业概况

在这里学什么？ Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and is the most common second language in the US. Studying a modern language in the context of its speakers' history, literature, experience and outlook can broaden horizons and challenge preconceptions, including those about one's own language and country.In the Department of Film and Television, guided by leading scholars and practitioners, you will explore the history of film and television. You will consider theoretical perspectives, appreciate how films are made and engage in practical film-making activities.You will study film alongside Spanish language, history and culture units, choosing from a wide range of options that allow you to pursue your own interests. Both departments offer a vibrant learning environment with research-led teaching.You will spend your third year abroad on a work or study placement in a Spanish-speaking country, refining your language skills and cultural understanding. 为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
