专业概况

在这里学什么？ In the Department of Film and Television, guided by leading scholars and practitioners, you will explore the history of film and television. You will consider theoretical perspectives, appreciate how films are made and engage in practical film-making activities.Throughout your studies you will learn from a range of film and television professionals and in your final year you will have the chance to undertake a placement in the creative industries.For the English part of your course you will study a broad range of literature written in English, from the medieval period to the present day. This will include the close, analytical study of poetry, fiction and drama, as well as critical and theoretical approaches to studying literature. In your second and third years you will be able to choose from a range of stimulating options and research-led special subjects, including creative writing. In your third year you have the opportunity to write a dissertation on a topic of your own choosing.

为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
