专业概况

在这里学什么？ Our Joint Honours English and Classical Studies degree combines investigation of the ancient Greco-Roman world with the study of works from all periods of English literature, many of which reflect or reanimate ancient texts and topics.Both halves of the course give you the opportunity to follow your own interests and particular enthusiasms through optional units, including Latin or Ancient Greek. You may also study ancient arts, such as epic or drama, alongside their more modern forms in literature written in English.Your dissertation in year three will draw on both degree subjects to discuss a topic that concerns both the ancient world and English literature.

为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
