Majors
Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Innovation and entrepreneurship are at the forefront of economic growth both domestically and internationally. When completing this major, you will gain vital skills and knowledge enabling you to think creatively and distinctively in new situations and reduce risk in professional practice.
Film, Media and Cultural Studies
Square eyes and film buffs will no doubt be drawn to the idea of devoting study to their favorite leisure activity. When you study a Film, Media and Cultural Studies major you will learn about our culture and key questions concerning media and communication in an era of rapid technological change.
Global Indigenous Studies
When you study a Global Indigenous Studies major you explore Indigenous experiences and perspectives, with a focus on history, society, leadership, behaviors, beliefs and related issues. In the process, the major aims to increase Indigenous students' pride and confidence in identity and culture.
Governance, Policy and Political Economy
Globalization has revolutionized the face of business and the parameters within which it is conducted. A major in Governance, Policy and Political Economy prepares graduates of tomorrow with the skills and knowledge to manage the complex challenges of a globalized economy.
Human Geography & the Environment

为来自中国的学生设计 There are a number of ways to gain entry to undergraduate programs at the University of Newcastle. You may be considered for admission on the basis of: a completed NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent – irrespective of age of qualification; completed or partly completed higher education studies; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate III (AQF level 3), excluding the Bachelor of Nursing; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate II (AQF level 2) in conjunction with meeting additional performance based selection criteria for the Bachelor of Music and associated combined degrees; completion of a recognised enabling program within a 10 year period preceding admission to the University; overseas qualifications equivalent to Australian studies. English language requirement: TOEFL paper-based test score of 500; TOEFL internet based score of 60; IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0; PTE GSE score of 50; Cambridge English: Advanced score of 52.课程信息
