The degree starts with core courses in business, giving you a solid grasp of business fundamentals such as economics, accounting, management and entrepreneurship.
You then move in to your specialisation studying courses in areas such as design thinking and digital innovation; programming, problem-solving and systems analysis, and IT and database fundamentals.
Careers to consider:
- Business analyst: interpreting data and reporting on it; making recommendations based on research findings; applying qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret data
- Business improvement manager: evaluating existing organisational processes; identifying areas of improvement
- Business optimisation manager: monitoring daily operational activities and data; managing business process efficiency and overall company performance; identifying opportunities for increased performance through technological improvements
- Business solutions consultant: working in a broad range of industries; reviewing existing processes; recommending operational solutions; identify opportunities for increased efficiency
- ICT project analyst: implementing information and communications technology solutions in the workplace; executing issue management support activities for existing systems and applications
- Information analyst: using reporting and analysis software audit, analyse and interpret data; provide statistical expertise; deliver high level understanding of findings to key stakeholders
- Information systems manager: managing the technological environment for a business or organisation; overseeing the planning, installation, and maintenance of IT systems including hardware and software; managing the work of other IT professionals
- Intelligence analyst: working closely with government bodies or corporations; examining data from multiple sources; identifying and assessing internal and external sources of risk
- IT account manager: establishing and maintaining business relationships with internal and external customers; developing IT projects to meet the business needs of customers; making sure that initiatives are delivered on time and within budget
- Project coordinator: coordinating project activities and making sure all phases are properly documented; compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, managing project meetings, identifying and resolving technical problems

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 program. In order to gain entry, students require an additional year of study following their high school studies. For example, this can include successful completion of: One year of study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institution. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: Overall 6.0 (with 6.0 in Reading and Writing); TOEFL iBT score of 60 with Reading and Writing not less than 18; TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) score of 550 with TWE of 4.5; Cambridge CAE/CPE score of 169; Pearson's test of English (Academic) (PTE) score of 50 with Reading and Writing communicative scores not less than 50; CELUSA score of AE4.
