Choose your path

The Critical Care specialisation provides expert, specialised skills in advanced critical care. You'll learn to integrate advanced medical care, respiratory care, cardiac care and trauma techniques into your current practice and make expert judgments to ensure your patients experience the best possible care. The Extended Care specialisation provides expert, specialised skills in advanced extended care. You will learn to integrate your intensive skill enhancement and training in areas such as advanced medical examination, risk assessment and patient management to determine the most appropriate disposition for a range of common medical issues and refer patients to other health providers.

Online convenience

This course is delivered online for maximum flexibility, giving you the opportunity to combine work and study. The course also includes two residential schools and an external practicum, where you'll further develop your skills and gain additional hands-on experience.

Research expertise

As well as expanding your clinical skills, this course builds your research capacity. You'll study two research subjects and have the opportunity to conduct an original research project.

Your Master of Paramedicine (with specialisations) can open doors to employment opportunities across Australia and internationally. Depending on the specialisation you study, you could find a role as a critical care paramedic, intensive care paramedic, mobile intensive care ambulance paramedic, extended care paramedic or community paramedic. You could also consider specialist roles in leadership, research or education, and other positions beyond the scope of traditional paramedic practice.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have completed Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a university or other tertiary education provider. Academic IELTS with a minimum overall score of 6.5 and with no score below 6.0 in each of the individual skill areas, TOEFL test result with a minimum overall score of 577, Internet based TOEFL score of 79; PTE Academic: 58; Cambridge (CPE) Pre 2015: 45; Cambridge English Scale: CAE and CPE from 2015: 176.
