Responding to the needs of IT professionals, CSU's Master of Information Technology (with specialisations) (12 subjects) is offered online, at our Port Macquarie campus, and with the CSU Study Centres in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

If you choose to study online, all subjects can be completed without the need to attend on-campus lectures or residential schools, with each subject supported by a host of educational technologies including video lectures, lab simulations and chat rooms.

Comprising four core subjects, four elective subjects, and four specialisation subjects, this master's course offers the opportunity to hone skills across emerging fields such as Business Analysis, Computer Networking, Network Security, IT Management, Software Design and Development, and Systems Analysis.

As an online student you can complete the course in up to four years. You can also fast-track completion by studying additional subjects, enabling you to finish earlier. You can also choose to study fewer subjects or take temporary leave to fit in with your busy work and personal schedule.

The School of Computing and Mathematics boasts a research profile ranked at world level by the 2015 Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) evaluation. The school's focus is on practical applications of information and communication technology, mathematics and statistics to applied problems in industry, the environment and business.

Business Analysis

Business Analysts propose technology solutions to business problems. This specialisation prepares students for a business analysis role through a blend of management and technology subjects. Topics covered include management theory and practice, systems analysis, risk management and data analysis and visualisation.

Academic IELTS with a minimum overall score of 6.5 and with no score below 6.0 in each of the individual skill areas, TOEFL test result with a minimum overall score of 577, Internet based TOEFL score of 79; PTE Academic: 58; Cambridge (CPE) Pre 2015: 45; Cambridge English Scale: CAE and CPE from 2015: 176.
