上海燎原国际高中将举行感恩节活动，A Liao Yuan Thanksgiving | 快参加燎原感恩节，来一场暖心告白吧!活动时间：Nov. 25th, 11:30 – 13:45，活动地点：7号楼燎原大礼堂。

Thanksgiving is a time to show gratitude for all the things we have, to be thankful for our comfortable lives, and to show appreciation for all those that make it possible. It is also a time to be with friends and family, and to be happy and joyful.

顾名思义，感恩节是一个**感恩的节日，感恩我们所拥有的一切，感恩我们现在舒适的生活，并向那些为了我们的舒适生活而辛劳的人们，表达我们的感激。感恩节是一个与朋友家人欢聚的节日，是一个快乐幸福的其热融融的节日。

尝“百家饭” 美食大集结

For this event, we are hoping to have a “pot-luck” style buffet, with food also provided by our hardworking lunch staff. We invite all students and parents (international high school and elementary school) to bring some home-made or restaurant bought food to share with everyone. There will of course be school prepared lunch as well, but if you enjoy variety, we encourage everyone to bring a little something to share.

我们鼓励每家都带食物过来分享，可以是你的拿手好菜，也可以是从餐厅买来的招牌美食，我们一起分享“百家饭”，品尝各色各样的美味，同时我校大厨也会为各位宾客精心准备特别的美味佳肴。在此我们诚邀各位家长同学加入燎原大家庭，一起过个有意义的感恩节!

Several long tables will be set out with food, and plates will be distributed to all guests. Everyone can get food, walk around, find a chair, and chat with friends and guests. This is quite similar to the school social events that our students might take part in in university in the west.

感恩节那天，长桌上会摆满令人垂涎欲滴的美味佳肴，每位宾客都会拿到取餐的小盘子，可以随意走动，跟其他朋友聊聊天，跟西方大学里经常举行的学生社交活动异曲同工。

During the event, music, performances, and an open mic will be set up, along with an art board about the theme “Gratitude”, which students will be able to use.

同时还会有精彩的音乐和表演，我们特意安排了“open mic” 和感恩板，学生可以表达他们的感恩之情。

During “open mic” time, students will be free to go on stage to tell everyone who or what they are thankful for, and the reason why. There will also be score kept for which house has the most open mic participants.

“open mic”环节里，学生可以走上舞台，向他们所感恩的人、事表达感激。同时此环节会依据每个 House 上台演讲的学生人数，计入House得分。
