专业概况

在这里学什么？ The theatre and performance studies course builds your understanding and practical skills by exploring critical and historical frameworks alongside practical workshops. There are opportunities to engage with professional theatre makers and our museum-accredited archive, the Theatre Collection.In your first year you will learn how to analyse performance while developing practical skills in a range of performance practices, including theatre design, lighting, costume and production. In subsequent years you will choose from a range of options that will deepen your analytical, critical, practical and historical expertise.Your degree culminates in an independent study project. This could be a group or individual performance, a dissertation, an extended essay or an industrial placement. We have strong links with the creative industries and placement partners have included the Bristol Old Vic, MAYK, In Between Time and Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory. Students can also undertake placements elsewhere, including overseas.

为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
