专业概况

在这里学什么？ This joint honours course is offered by the Department of Computer Science and Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and is designed to meet the needs of the computing and electronics industries.This degree will allow you to understand how to design and build hardware and software for all types of computer systems in order to implement applications ranging from medical equipment and autonomous vehicles to finance systems.Your first two years cover the foundations of computing and electronics, equipping you to work confidently in both software and hardware. Year three includes a major project, either based in industry or industry-inspired, which is undertaken at the University. You can tailor your fourth year to suit your interests by choosing an individual project and optional units.The MEng course provides full accreditation for the qualification of Chartered Engineer. The first two years are common with the BEng Computer Science and Electronics, and transfer between courses is possible until the end of year two, subject to satisfactory performance.The Bristol area is home to a range of thriving and world-leading semiconductor design companies who contribute to our curriculum design as well as hosting industry-based projects.

为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
