专业概况

在这里学什么？ If you want to gain a solid foundation for postgraduate study or a career in science, our MSci course is well suited to you. The first two years are common to all of our degree courses. You will study fundamental concepts in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry and applications in areas such as analytical, environmental, materials and theoretical chemistry.You will also develop your ability to design experiments and interpret results and gain key skills through our chemistry-specific communications and mathematics units.Alongside your study in chemistry in your first and second years you will study a foreign language. You will spend your third year at a university in Europe and will be taught and assessed in the language of your host university. We currently have exchange links with universities in Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain. 为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
