专业概况

在这里学什么？ This research-informed BSc (Hons) Mathematics degree aims to provide a fundamental education in the fascinating field of mathematics, including pure and applied mathematics. Students have opportunities to work alongside academic staff on challenging projects, which could contribute to academic research or collaboration with industry. The School of Mathematics and Physics is dedicated to achieving excellence in research and aims to provide a friendly, approachable culture for students to join. This course covers the core topics of Mathematics and staff work alongside students to encourage them to apply imagination, creativity and rigour to the solution of various problems. There are also individual and group projects. The subject aims to provide a thorough grounding in analytical and numerical methods, practical scientific skills and research techniques. Additionally, students are encouraged to develop transferable communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills throughout their studies

为来自中国的学生设计 Prospective students require one of the following qualifications for entry into year one of an undergraduate degree: Successful completion of a Foundation programme with a minimum of 50% plus an average of 70% or above in High School. Some programmes may require a higher foundation score e.g. 60%; Successful completion of the first year of a Chinese degree / Diploma with an average grade of 70% or above. Students who have successfully completed a HND BTEC or SQA qualification may be accepted directly into year two or three of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course on a case by case basis. Students who have successfully completed the second or third year of a Chinese Degree or Diploma may be considered for direct entry into year two or three of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course on a case by case basis. Depending on your academic background and intended course of study, it may be possible to apply for advanced entry into year 2 or 3 of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course. Students need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band score). Some courses require a higher IELTS score.
