Want a skill set that will mean you can thrive in any area of business? You’ve got it. We teamed up with industry to design the new Bachelor of Business (with specialisations) at Charles Sturt University, so you get the skills business needs. You’ll gain broad discipline knowledge and cultivate a suite of employability skills relevant to any workplace, such as communication, resilience and creative thinking.

Available online or via blended learning, this course also gives you the chance to choose a specialisation: Finance, Human Resource Management, Management and Leadership, Marketing, or Strategic Planning.

Get the best of both worlds

We’re changing the game when it comes to learning that works for you. Year one, you can choose to study online or combine on-campus and online study. You’ll make connections with your peers and academics, and build your network. Plus, we’ll keep the timetable compact so you can fit everything in. As you move into your second and third years, you’ll study more online as you start to specialise.

Gain a solid foundation – then specialise

Will you get a solid grounding in the fundamental theory and practice in your field? Of course. That’s what your first year is all about. You then build on those foundations by specialising in an area that aligns with your career goals.

Build your employability

Alongside your foundational and technical skills, you’ll also study employability skills subjects that will give you the aptitudes relevant to any job. So you’ll graduate with the ultimate portfolio of skills that employers need. How do we know employers need them? We got them to help us develop the course. What’s more, industry bodies have accredited the course, including the Australian HR Institute, CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand

A qualification at every step

As you complete each year of study, you gain a qualification. After the first year, you can receive a Diploma of Business; after the second, an Associate Diploma of Business. So, if you achieve a diploma and then want to work for a year, when you return, you’ll go straight into the associate diploma year, with credit for your completed first year.

Specialisations

Finance

Develop a broad range of finance skills, that will enable you to make your mark in local, national or global companies. You will be work-ready in roles within business development, banking, financial planning, insurance and all levels of government.

Human Resource Management

From the strategic level to application in the workplace, this specialisation builds your knowledge across all human resource management functions.

Management and Leadership

Build the right skills to successfully lead and manage organisational units and whole organisations, as well as organisational change.

Marketing

This specialisation focuses on applied marketing practices. You’ll learn essential marketing content – from understanding consumers and conducting market research, through launching product and service innovations, to formulating communication strategies to build long-term customer relationships and create value for customers, stakeholders and businesses.

Strategic Planning

Help define the direction of an organisation and make decisions on allocating resources to help it reach its goals. From planning and budgeting and operations management, to leading both people and processes, this specialisation gives you the skills to create and deliver a business strategy to drive results, boost performance, and provide far-reaching benefits to any type of organisation.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students are required to complete international academic qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12 (or equivalent). Academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall score of at least 6.0; TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) internet based score of 60, Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic score of 50; TOEFL PBT: 550; Cambridge English Scale: CAE and CPE from 2015: 169.
