专业概况

This graduate track is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Successful graduates will be verified to pursue post-degree internships and dietetics registration. You will benefit from a combination of teaching approaches, convenient evening classes and online instruction. Registered Dietitians are highly in demand in the workforce, based on U.S. Department of Labor projections. Learn about current food and nutritional trends that are relevant in healthcare today.

Many students who pursue a graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Madonna University are interested in becoming Registered Dietitians. This program offers the opportunity for you to gain advanced knowledge of the nutrition field through courses such in food behaviors, sustainability, nutrition assessment, medical nutrition therapy, metabolic nutrition, research and more.

Current food trends and consumer motivations will be studied and controversial food issues may be debated with experienced instructors who will challenge students to find solutions to diet-related issues while considering alternative methods of educating clients.

YOUR FUTURE

The U.S. Department of Labor has published that job growth of 16 percent is expected for dietitians and nutritionists between 2014 and 2024, a much faster rate than the national average. A degree in Nutrition and Dietetics will allow students to pursue registration that will prepare students for a career path in a clinical, food service management or community setting. Potential job roles also include:

Clinical Dietitian Corporate wellness dietitian Nutritional counselor Diabetes educator Food service manager Director-level roles in governmental programs Sports Dietitian

Dietitians can work in settings such as: hospitals, health clinics, senior care facilities, sports nutrition, renal dialysis centers, public health programs, home care and businesses such as grocery stores.

为来自中国的学生设计 Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university; undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; Internet based TOEFL (iBT, Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 80; or TOEFL paper-and-pencil test with a minimum score of 550, accompanied by the Test of Written English (TWE) with a minimum score of 5; or MELAB score of 77 or higher on all parts; or IELTS score of 6.5+; or PTE Academic score of 53.
