专业概况

Madonna University’s Higher Education Administration Program (HEA) prepares students to make a difference in the educational experience and personal development of diverse student populations. HEA’s convenient, part time, online or on ground program expands critical thinking, leadership, and management skills needed for successful careers across different functional areas in colleges and universities.

Advancing foundational understanding, analysis, application, and evaluation of key concepts, principles, and critical issues in the field, HEA integrates theory with real-world, culturally relevant, and evidence-based practices to position its students to proactively address complex issues in higher education and society.

The HEA program is designed for busy, working professionals. We offer a number of instructional formats to address multiple student needs and learning styles, from in-person on-campus classes, to synchronous (real-time sessions at predetermined dates) and asynchronous (logging in when convenient for you) instruction, to blended learning mixing multiple formats.

Taking 2 classes per semester (Fall, Winter, Summer), students complete the 12 course program in 2 years.

HEA courses address functional areas in higher education including academic affairs, business administration, civic engagement, compliance and judicial affairs, enrollment management, learning innovation, nondiscrimination and diversity, research and scholarship, service learning, and student life.

HEA students participate in two experiential learning opportunities that enable students to apply the concepts they learn in class to real-world higher education issues and settlings, as well as develop professional experience in a new setting within higher education.

Incorporating Madonna University’s foundational values of respect for the dignity of each person, peace and justice, reverence for creation, and education for truth and justice, HEA integrates social justice frameworks, service to the broader community, and reflective practice to ensure excellence in self and other.

为来自中国的学生设计 Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university; undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; Internet based TOEFL (iBT, Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 80; or TOEFL paper-and-pencil test with a minimum score of 550, accompanied by the Test of Written English (TWE) with a minimum score of 5; or MELAB score of 77 or higher on all parts; or IELTS score of 6.5+; or PTE Academic score of 53.
