What is Education MA?

Develop your practice and critical thinking as you explore a range of key areas in education. This Master’s course provides education practitioners and policymakers from third and private sector organisations with key knowledge, skills and abilities. We’ll support you in sustaining and enhancing the effectiveness of your practice to pursue your career aspirations.

With a wide range of modules and the chance to specialise, you can tailor your learning to your professional aims while developing your practice. The flexible curriculum reflects the latest developments in education and is delivered by a team of dedicated and experienced teaching staff, with specialist areas of expertise. In the final stage of the Master’s you’ll complete a dissertation focusing on a research topic of your choice.

Study style

You’ll be taught in lectures (including guest lecturers), seminars and workshops - while some modules are available online for flexible learning. You’ll be assessed **** by coursework.

We’ll encourage you to reflect on your own practice, taking the skills and knowledge you gain to implement strategies that meet the needs of your learners.

Possible careers

Graduates from this course can go on to work in middle and senior leadership roles, or learning and development roles. The course is suitable for teachers and lecturers wishing to develop their practice too - as well as for progression to further study at PhD/EdD level.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students should have Successful completion of a 4 year university Bachelor degree with a minimum grade of 70% overall. Three year Diploma (Dazhuan/ Zhuanke) AND evidenced three years’ relevant work experience (for Business School Masters only) and/ or a recognised 1 year pre-Masters programme.? IELTS 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any component.
