This program provides students the opportunity to dive into three areas of diesel technology including: agricultural equipment, construction equipment and on highway truck systems. An emphasis area within our 4-year Automotive Technology program, the Managerial Management program, prepares students for a successful career in the automotive and diesel & heavy equipment manufacturing industry.

Our graduates gain more than just the technical skills needed to gain employment in this fast changing industry; they gain the leadership skills necessary to succeed at the highest corporate levels. Companies actively recruit Pittsburg State students because they know they are signing an employee that is both a skilled technician and communicator. Graduates accept careers as heavy equipment administrators, hotline troubleshooters, company field representatives, service training instructors, field testing, technicians and instructional developers.

Manufacturers of vehicles are interested in individuals who have an understanding of automotive and diesel systems, mechanical design, engineering materials, processing technologies, and the quality measures associated with manufacturing quality products.

According to the Bureau of Labor Standards, the annual median pay for automotive Industrial manufacturing managers is $93,940.

为来自中国的学生设计 High School Academic Records: A minimum GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in high school and have earned a high school diploma; International College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post-secondary institution (college/university); U.S. College/University Academic Records: A minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) if transferring from an accredited U.S. college with at least 24 credit hours (approximately one year of college work). English Language Requirements: TOEFL score of at least 520 (paper) or 190 (computer) or 68 (internet); IELTS score - Overall band of 6.0 (with a minimum score of 5.0; PTE Overall score of 47.
