大家(至少男生)都爱篮球!夸自己很厉害是很容易的，到了真正展现本事的时候了，谁是上海燎原国际高中的比较不错篮球手呢?

This week students participated in a 1 on 1 basketball competition. For this competition, each house chose three boys and one girl to compete in this exciting game. The competition lasted three days, with the finals occurring during the house period on Friday.

In this tournament, two students competed against each other at a time, for a total of five minutes. The student who scored the most points during these five minutes progressed to the next round. In cases where the students tied, the winner was decided by three free-throw shots.

During the first two days the students gathered at the sports field during lunchtime. The games were very competitive and most had very close final scores. At the end of the semi-finals the following four boys qualified for the finals: Danny from the Golden Gryphons, William from the Black Dragons, Peter from the Blue Minotaurs, and James from the Green Sphixes. Two girls qualified for the finals: Sammi from the Red Phoenixes and Jane from the Silver Centaurs.

On thefinal day, students gathered on the sports field to cheer on their housemates. In the first round for the boys, Peter and James, and Danny and William, competed against one another. After five minutes it was declared that Peter and William would be moving onto the final round. While both boys competed well, William from the Black Dragons was the winner.

For the girls, Sammi and Jane played for their houses. Both girls were very athletic and were strong basketball players. After five minutes, Sammi from the Red Phoenixes was declared the winner.

Tuesday was the first round for the boys competition. Each student demonstrated their atheletic abilities.

On Wednesday, the boys competed in their second round and the girls had their first competition.

In the first round of the final boys competition, Peter and James, and Danny and William, competed against each other.

In the girls competition, Sammi and Jane competed against one another. Sammi from the Red Phoenixes (R.) was declared the winner.

In the boys finals, Peter and William competed against each other. William (R.) was declared the winner.
