专业概况

在这里学什么？ This integrated degree in economics and accounting allows you to study both subjects to a high level.The first two years contain mandatory units that will provide a solid grounding in both disciplines. You can choose one optional unit in year one; mandatory core content ensures that you have a deep and robust understanding which will inform your choices in the final year when selecting from a wide range of optional units.One third of the final year is made up of two compulsory units: Advanced Financial Reporting and Management Accounting for Strategy. For the remaining two thirds you will choose from a range of options which must include at least two economics units.Previously, economics choices have included Behavioural Economics and International Economics, while accounting and finance units have included Auditing, Financial Crises and Financial Markets.Most of the assessment that forms the final degree result is closed-book examinations, a feature that is valued by many major employers. Work is set to help you practise problem-solving and essay-writing skills, supported by constructive and regular feedback from experienced tutors.

为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
