在这里学什么？The Master of Music degree combines advanced studies in an applied area of specialization with graduate-level academic study in bibliographic research, musicology, and music history. The degree prepares students to be professional performers, conductors, composers, teachers, and researchers, according to their area of specialization. The master of music degree is often required as the minimum teaching credential for university, college, and conservatory instrumental or vocal teaching positions, and in some areas of specialization are considered a terminal degree.
Master of Music in Musicology
This concentration is designed for students who wish to pursue advanced studies in historical musicology and ethnomusicology. Graduates of this program would be qualified to pursue careers as teachers and researchers of musicology-related subjects at the college level and to pursue doctoral study in historical musicology or ethnomusicology.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have obtained a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting agency, recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEEA). A non-U.S.?degree must be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from the United States and must be granted by a recognized or accredited foreign institution. United States degree holders must have earned a minimum of 2.7 out of a possible 4.0 GPA or a minimum of 3.0 during the senior year of undergraduate study. If you have completed previous graduate coursework, you must have earned a minimum of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 GPA. Minimum score requirements for admission to the Graduate School are: a total score of 80 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT), a 6.5 overall band score on the IELTS.课程信息
