In this course you will have access to a range of training opportunities provided by the University that aim to develop your research skills. An MPhil may enhance and progress careers in performing arts, and can open up opportunities at senior levels in direction, production, management and education. MPhil Performing Arts students can join a thriving, creative community where current research areas include musical theatre, gender and performance, directing, and dance and technology. While studying for an MPhil, you are expected to undertake independent research in an area of your choice, supervised and supported by a team of academics. The School of Fine & Performing Arts is a centre of creativity with a purpose-built arts venue, studios and gallery. It is home to a vibrant artistic community where students and staff work alongside one another to explore new synergies between fine and performing arts. Career and Personal Development: It can be the starting point for an academic career, and graduates may choose to go on to professional research or teaching in higher education institutions.

为来自中国的学生设计 Prospective students require one of the following qualifications: A Chinese degree from a recognised institution with a minimum average grade of 70% (GPA 2.5), some programmes may require 80% or a GPA 3.0; Successful completion of a UK Bachelor degree with a minimum grade of 2:2. Students need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band score). Some courses require a higher IELTS score.
