在这里学什么？

The Juris Doctor (JD) Program is designed to ensure that students develop the knowledge, skills, and values that are at the heart of becoming trusted, highly adept, professional lawyers who are respected for serving clients, their communities, and justice. All students in the program must complete 90 semester-hours of study, which is six semesters long (three academic years) in areas that are essential to the understanding and practice of law. In addition to a wide variety of courses in many areas of the traditional legal field, the curriculum provides numerous opportunities in courses and clinics for students to develop the practical problem-solving, negotiation and mediation skills needed in an ever changing legal landscape. The College of Law combines traditional and innovative teaching methods to provide a dynamic, professional program. We draw from the rich community of practitioners in the South Florida area who teach specialized courses and help to bridge the gap between legal theory and practice. The JD curriculum is designed to develop students' analytical ability, communication skills, and understanding of professional responsibility and ethics that are central to the practice of law.

Professional lawyers need a solid foundation in the law, and you'll unearth that substance in NSU's Shepard Broad College of Law. The comprehensive Juris Doctor (J.D.) Program arms students with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to become trusted, highly adept lawyers.

What you’ll study: The full time three-year curriculum combines traditional doctrinal courses with courses that focus on specialized areas within law. In addition, NSU offers advanced skills and simulations, clinical and externship courses, and comprehensive support. Spanning areas from arbitration to taxation, we have what you want.

How you’ll learn more: You won't get lost in the crowd in our small, first-year sections. Faculty members are generous with their time and follow an open-door, open-Internet policy. Coming from the rich community of practitioners in South Florida, they help to bridge the gap between legal theory and practice. Many other opportunities, including international study and online master's degrees, allow you to find your niche.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must complete all bachelor's degree requirements before beginning graduate studies or is in the process of completing a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 550 on the paper-based test, 213 on the computer-based test, or 79 on the internet-based test. (2) International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6.0 on the test module. (3) Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 54 on the test module.
