Explore the questions surrounding crime, punishment, and rehabilitation in your criminal justice major. Criminology, the theoretical basis of criminal justice, provides insight into human motivations and the forces behind aberrant and destructive behaviors.

A successful criminal justice graduate is expected to:

• Integrate and apply the major theories, principles, and concepts of criminal justice to analyze and evaluate research and/or applied issues in the field of criminal justice using critical thinking skills, skeptical inquiry, and, where applicable, the scientific approach;
• Produce criminal justice information in a clear, concise manner, consistent with relevant professional standards.
