Especially designed for those who are preparing to teach at the elementary or secondary level, Madonna's social studies major is based closely on current Michigan Department of Education standards. It provides the course work needed for gaining proficiency to teach in the disciplines of history, political science, geography, and economics. Our program has a strong history core in both American and world history, as well as carefully selected courses in other social sciences, to prepare you as a well-rounded candidate for the K-12 classroom.
