What is Sports Law, Ethics and Governance MA?

MA SLG teaches an in-depth analysis of legal, political and economic issues.

You’ll focus on the current and future key challenges faced by sports organisations (specificity of sport, competitive balance, exploitation of commercial rights, social dialogue, match-fixing, doping, social responsibility, governance structure, etc.).

Study style

You’ll be exposed to work in ethics, law and management studies, learning the foundations of ethical theory and practice applied to sports problems and legal responsibilities of sport organisations in a coherent and aligned interest of performance sport.

The MA Sport Law, Ethics and Governance (SLG) seeks to add natural progression for students in both the Sports related provision and the Business community completing undergraduate degrees. This will be supported with co-curricular opportunities (professional visits). This academic outlet at Level 7 will create a coherent route to employment in performance sport settings.

Possible careers

Graduates from this course can go on to work in:

• Club/organisational leadership and ethical practice roles
• NGB governance and leadership
• Advisory & consultancy.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students should have Successful completion of a 4 year university Bachelor degree with a minimum grade of 70% overall. Three year Diploma (Dazhuan/ Zhuanke) AND evidenced three years’ relevant work experience (for Business School Masters only) and/ or a recognised 1 year pre-Masters programme.? IELTS 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any component.
