在这里学什么？ **Why History and Politics?**Our History and Politics degree enables you to develop as an active scholar and become an independent practitioner, researcher and critical thinker. You’ll explore fundamental and highly relevant issues of power and human value, studying the ideas and events that shape our world and our identities. You’ll build investigative, analytical research and communication skills essential to your future professional role, gaining invaluable practical experiences through work placements, research projects, field trips and opportunities to study abroad. Previous students have undertaken unforgettable visits to the USA, Canada, India and Spain, as well as to fascinating UK destinations.You’ll draw on the expertise of our academic team along with insightful guest speakers and the practitioners you’ll work with on projects and placements, benefitting from our links with museums, archives, heritage organisations, socio-political groups, businesses and other partners. Our course also allows you to tailor your studies to suit your own interests and ambitions, choosing the topics most important to you in a rich and varied curriculum, as you examine integral questions about democracy, protest, activism and authority. Subjects include gender and environment, politics and empire in the age of Gladstone and Disraeli, human rights in global perspective, fascism in Europe 1914 to 1945 and much more. 为来自中国的学生设计 Students need to have Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with the Senior Secondary Academic Proficiency Test ( Putong Gaozhong Xueye Shuiping Kaoshi)/ Huikao? with a minimum grade of 70% AND a recognised Foundation course certificate with a successful pass grade. Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with the Senior Secondary Academic Proficiency Test (Putong Gaozhong Xueye Shuiping Kaoshi)/ Huikao with a minimum grade of 80%. Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate AND the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE)/ Gaokao with a minimum score of 70% in a relevant stream. NB: The accepted stream differs by course, e.g. if a science A Level is required for course entry then the science stream is required; if an arts/humanities subject A level is required for course entry then the arts stream is required. However, either the science or the arts stream is acceptable for entry to Business and Management courses. One year (or more) of university study in China with a minimum grade of 70% overall. Undergraduate (Level 6 top up/ Advanced entry to Bachelor degrees)?: Two-three year Diploma (Da Zhuan / Zhuanke) in a related subject area. Successful completion of a minimum 2 years’ university study in a related subject area. IELTS 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band.
