专业概况

A Bachelor of 3D Design and Animation provides skills and experience modelling, rigging, animating, texturing, lighting and compositing. Exploring design and animation theory to enrich storytelling, it prepares graduates for a career in industries such as film, post-production, TV commercial, games and asset development, advertising, information and education.

This course was previously titled ‘Bachelor of Digital Media (3D Design and Animation)’ with CRICOS code K. The name has recently changed as part of Billy Blue at Torrens University Australia's continuous improvement process to more accurately describe the course content and industry outcomes that result from it.

Workload

10 hours per subject, per week. International students on a student visa are required to study full time, i.e. the student must complete a minimum of 1.0 EFTSL of study per year.

The Bachelor of 3D Design and Animation is designed to provide you with knowledge and skills in computer-based 3D modelling, rigging, animation, lighting and texturing. This degree develops your practical skills with the study of 3D design, underpinned by foundations of 3D modelling, animation and interactivity in the games industry, and the study of professional practice in 3D design and animation workplaces. The course incorporates industry-informed briefs, industry mentors, client projects, internship opportunities and the study of emerging areas of 3D design and animation practice. By the end of this course, you’ll have a combination of a well-rounded 3D design and animation generalist knowledge base with focused niche skills development in a 3D design and animation specialist area.
