专业概况

在这里学什么？ Physics is a truly international venture. This degree generally follows the structure of the MSci Physics course, offering a comprehensive grounding in physics and mathematics, practical work in the laboratory and computational physics, alongside study of a language to prepare you for your third year in Europe.You will be placed at a partner university in Europe for an academic year, studying units that parallel, as far as possible, the third year of the Bristol degree programme. Our students' final-year projects address questions at the frontiers of our research fields, and the most successful have been published in scientific journals.You will join a friendly department with a very active, award-winning student society. We encourage you to develop a broad range of skills – including problem solving and communication – while experiencing life as a physicist in a different culture. Our physics graduates have an excellent record of employment, a testament to the value that employers place on these skills.

为来自中国的学生设计 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
