Due to the ongoing impact of the global pandemic we have had to evaluate all of our courses to ensure that we adhere to Government guidelines to protect the health and wellbeing of our staff and students. The International Business and Corporate Law stream of the LLM specialises in the complex issues, rules, and regulations in business transactions and corporate law at national and international levels.

The stream covers legal principles related to corporate transactions, activities, governance and finance and practical challenges in the organisation and operation of multinational corporations and cross-border business arrangements. It provides a critical understanding of the policy considerations at the heart of corporate law while developing your ability to analyse, interpret and apply economic, financial, theoretical and socio-legal material to the most pressing contemporary problems in corporate law and practice.

The LLM International Business and Corporate Law qualification will enhance your career prospects in the corporate world, commercial environment and business regulatory agencies around the world. It provides an outstanding foundation for you to further enhance your career in international law firms and business organisations or to develop academic research expertise within this highly-regarded specialist area.

Teaching and learning

You will be taught mainly through interactive online seminars where you will test your understanding by engaging in critical discussion of the topics with your fellow students. Before each seminar you will research the answers to a set of questions and come prepared to discuss your ideas and findings.

Careers and employability

Our Law Fair is held annually and attracts over 40 law firms and other graduate employers.

Two dedicated law careers tutors are on hand to discuss career options, upcoming opportunities and give advice about different firms.

We host a wide range of external speakers every year, representing the whole legal profession.
