2016年8月22日，北师大剑桥国际课程中心全体师生欢聚一起，举行2016-2017学年度学期开学典礼。典礼在庄严的国歌声中拉开序幕。

教学总监Joeseph Cathcart为开学典礼致辞，Joe肯定了过去全体师生所做出的成绩与收获，然后鼓励学生与教师加强交流沟通，勉励全体师生在新的学期里取得更大的成绩。

他说道：

The world is the same size as ever but distance is no longer the barrier it has been to human interaction for almost all of our history. It is undeniably a Golden Age of Communication.

世界还是这么大，而物理上的距离已经不是人们交流的障碍，我们已经进入了一个交流沟通的黄金时代。

本硕博均毕业于剑桥大学的资深生化老师，Andrew Davidson博士代表全体教师发言，他热情的话语激励着每一个同学。

接着由新老学生代表发言。

新生代表G1B班Coco ZHANG同学说道：

I suppose teachers are willing to offer help ,so we can adapt to the new systemquickly.Weare always worried about our pronunciation and afraid of making mistakes so we don’t open our mouth to speak, that’s forsure.ButI think in order to improve our English, we need to be the people who’s not afraid of losing face. Speaking bravely, and with the practice and persistence, we will achieve our goals.

老师们将对我们帮助巨大，我们也能很快的适应新的环境。因为担心发音不标准，有时候我们不敢张口说英语。但我想为了能说得更好，我们不应该害怕犯错丢脸。要勇敢的不断坚持练习，我们一定能够达成自己的目标。

老生代表A2B班Andrew ZHU 同学说：

This is really a long way full of difficulties, sometimes you might find it too hard to continue and start thinking about giving up. But what we need to do is to stop acting like a 3-year-old baby. Please be an adult! It’s time to stand out, and write our stories into the history.

我们一路走来，披荆斩棘，有时觉得实在难以坚持下去。但我们不能表现的像个小孩子，而是应该像一个有担当的成年人。

开学典礼拉开了新学期的工作和学习序幕，全校师生将满怀热情和信心投入到新一年的工作和学习中!
