2021 New Year Speech of Huijia Education Organization

亲爱的汇佳学子、家长朋友、教育同仁们：

Dear Huijia Students, parents and friends, colleagues,

值此元旦之际，我谨代表汇佳学校、汇佳幼儿园、汇佳职业学院和汇佳新加坡汉合国际学校祝大家新年安乐，万事遂意！

On the occasion of the New Year's Day, on behalf of Huijia School, Huijia Kindergarten, Huijia Vocational College and Hillside World Academy in Singapore, I wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year.

回顾2020年，疫情带来的变化无需多言。在此，我更愿意分享一下我们应如何应变。

Looking back to 2020, the changes brought by the epidemic need not be said much. Here, I'd like to share how we should respond.

早在疫情开始前的几年里，很多变化就已经在暗流涌动。人与人互联，人与物互联，这些变革和创新蕴含着深远的意义：一个新的时代即将来临。

In the years before the outbreak began, many changes were afoot. People connected with people or people connected with things, these changes and innovations have far-reaching implications: a new era is approaching.

现在，无人驾驶汽车已经上路；医院、银行、餐厅总能看到机器人的身影。宏观的产业链变革，微观的衣食住行；大到智慧城市，小到智慧家居，科技飞速渗透到我们的生活里。

Now, driverless cars are on the road; robots can always be seen in hospitals, banks and restaurants. From macro industrial chain reform to micro basic necessities of life; from smart city to smart home, science and technology are penetrating into our life.

对此，我认为应变的点就是去面对和拥抱变化，大趋势无法逆转。

In this regard, I think the first point of response is: to face and embrace change as the general trend cannot be reversed.

从与微软、联通合作进入校园，到开设STEM课程、编程课程、人工智能课程，再到刚刚过去的汇佳2021新年峰会，各界人士共同探讨人工智能对未来职业发展趋势的影响，汇佳一直想把这种态度持续传递给学生和家长，让大家意识到这和每个人都息息相关。

From the cooperation with Microsoft and China Unicom to enter our campus; to courses in STEM, programming, and artificial intelligence; to the recently held Huijia 2021 New Year Summit where people from all walks of life discussed the influence of career for the future development trend of artificial intelligence - Huijia has always wanted to continue to pass on this attitude of embracing change with students and parents, and let people realize that it is closely related with everybody.

第二点，采取积极的行动。各行各业均有迭代的周期和频率，作为培养学生素质底层代码的教育行业，这种行动更是刻不容缓。

Second point of response: take positive action. All walks of life have iteration cycle and frequency, and so is the cultivation of students through the quality of the underlying education code. This kind of action is more urgent.

对于汇佳来说，这种自我变革的行动其实一直都在进行。

For Huijia, this self-transformation has been going on all along.

从建校开始，学校一直坚持打造尊重个性差异的教育生态，在不断的创新迭代中培养学生交流、合作、表达、自省、勇气、自信这些最基本的能力和素质；探究型教学与丰富的校内外活动让每一个学生都能找到自己发光发热的舞台，拥有面对不确定未来的底气。

Since its establishment, the school has been adhering to creating an educational ecology that respects individual differences, and cultivating students' basic abilities and qualities such as communication, cooperation, expression, introspection, courage and confidence through continuous innovation and iteration. The inquiry-based teaching and the rich activities inside and outside the school enable every student to find their own shining stage and have the confidence to face the uncertain future.

面对此次疫情，学校积极推动落地了线上线下混合教学模式和自主学习进程，老师们积极探索和尝试，发现了学生自主成长的更多可能性。学生们不仅在课业上保持良好的进度，还提升了自主学习、自我管理、时间规划等重要能力。

In the face of the epidemic, the school actively promoted the online and offline blended teaching mode and self-directed learning process. Teachers actively explored and tried, and found more possibilities for students' independent growth. Students not only keep good progress in their studies, but also improve their important abilities of independent learning, self-management and time planning.

这些成果进一步印证了汇佳长久以来所坚持的教育理念的正确性，多变的世界更需要懂得应变的人才。这种培养贯穿于汇佳从幼儿园到高中完整的K12教育体系，亦决定了现在的学生能否在未来的社会里生存发展。

These achievements further confirm the correctness of Huijia's long - standing educational philosophy. The ever-changing world needs more talents who know how to cope with changes. This kind of training runs through Huijia's complete K12 education system from kindergarten to high school, which also determines whether current students can survive and develop in the future society.

古语有云：“知止而后有定，定而后能静，静而后能安，安而后能虑，虑而后能得。”

As the old saying goes, "The point where to rest being know, the object of pursuit is then determined; and that being determined, a calm unperturbedness may be attained to. To that calmness there will be succession of a tranquil repose. In that repose, there may be careful deliberation, and that deliberation will be followed by the attainment of the desired end."

因为看清了方向，所以汇佳在这条路上走得愈发坚定。愿新的一年里，大家均能心定而事成，在此与诸君共勉。

Seeing the direction clearly, Huijia has become more determined on this road. May this New Year be a time for all of you to set your mind and attain the success!
